The “Memoria bajo el agua” project not only seeks to capture the audience’s attention through film, but is also committed to sharing its stories and reflections through local media outlets, such as Radio Sió.
On January 24, 2025, the team behind the short film in which I am serving as co-screenwriter and lead actress had the opportunity to appear on a Radio Sió program, where we were able to discuss the project’s goals and its importance. We shared our vision of preserving and honoring the experiences of communities that have faced displacement and neglect, as well as the power of film to raise social awareness.
During the broadcast, we delved into the central themes of the short film, highlighting how the waters that submerged my town, Miralpeix, have also been the setting for so many personal stories that deserve to be told. We also encouraged the community to contribute to our crowdfunding campaign on Verkami, emphasizing the importance of public support in bringing this project to life.
Our participation on Radio Sió has allowed us to connect with the audience, receive feedback, and foster a vital dialogue on topics that are often overlooked.
We are grateful for the opportunity to share our mission, and we hope that this kind of collaboration will help spread the word about “Memoria bajo el agua” beyond the screen.
If you’d like to stay up to date on the short film’s production process and our upcoming media appearances, please feel free to email me at hola@reluet.com.
