Cal Teuler, know as Casa Reluet, was not only Núria’s home but also the place where she awakened her creativity in 2009. .
Through a profound jorney of introspection, Núria rediscovered the beauty of the everyday objects in her previous life in Miralpeix, before being submerged under the waters of a reservoir..
The doors became painted works of art, the wheelbarrow was reinvented as a table, and the windows acquired new life as headboards.
In 2022, after facing singnificant personal challenges, her art transformed into a means of self-understanding and a testament to the transformative power of art..
Origins of Cal Teuler, a farewell without return
The history of Cal Teuler, in Miralpeix, is the story of an house of farmers and shepherds, located beside the Segre River.
When opening the window, one can hear the murmur of the water, a sound that evokes deep nostalgia and resonates in the collective memory of those who have experienced significant changes, such as the transformation and loss caused by the construction of the Rialp dam in 1999.
Clara and Núria, as the last genration, carry with them the burden of history and the hope of preserving what remains of their legacy.
‘Reluet’, the name of their home written backward, stands as a symbol of a new way to experience art: a space dedicated to dialogue, introspection, and legacy.
