On August 24, 2024, I had The pleasure of participating alongside painter Josep Aragonès Zafra in the Second Night of Art at the Monastery of Las Avellanas. The ninth group exhibition by Grupdart.cat, “Les mans de les arts,” dedicated to the fall grape harvest.
What a magical experience!
My resilient abstract sculpture, “El Riego,” shone in a temporary setting that looked like something out of a Disney story.
Upon arrival, you are greeted with poetry, ballet performances, jesters, and knights. A tenor and a cellist were playing at the monastery’s entrance. After passing through the gate, the tour began through the various chambers, each with its own charm.
“El Riego,” a unique sculpture paying tribute to farmers, made from a non-artistic object—my grandmother Josefa’s watering can.
This work of art from my “resilient art” collection—which invites you to heal your wounds and move forward —was displayed in the dining room, where you could enjoy delicious dishes that were true works of art.
In another room—the church—musicians played songs that came from the heart.
An unforgettable event that combined art, history, and excitement in every corner.
A work of art that inspires you to invest in yourself. Work available.
Water, the fertility of tears, the will to carry on.
Life doesn’t give you anything for free. It created you so that you would move forward. It’s up to you whether you blossom or remain just leaves.
