The importance of Art in the Culture of Qatar
The Qatar International Art Festival, QIAF, has been a transformative event for many artists. A space that celebrates cultural diversity. Participating in events like this reaffirms the importance of contemporary art and its ability to unite people, overcome barriers, and inspire change.
The experience of painting live in Qatar and connecting my art with people reminded me that the true power of art lies in its ability to resonate with the emotions of the audience. A love at first sight.
Each stroke I shared was an invitation to personal reflection and self-discovery.
For this occasion, I decided to create a work in which I redefined by encrypting the name of Qatar, cryptology collection, and merging it with my artistic and philosophical language of the strength of rivers and their confluences that I have cultivated since 2009. This creation not only represents the place but also the essence of the emotional connection that art can generate between people. Each stroke I shared was an invitation to personal reflection and self-discovery.
The journalist Silvia García Domínguez told me that it reflected well on Qatar, a country with a happy people that always seeks to grow and advance.
I converted QATAR into a symbol that contains multiple meanings:
Q: the sun, which represents energy and life
A: the projection of the sun, symbolizing attention and focus
T: strength, a reminder of the determination needed to thrive
A: the smile and happiness found in each experience
R: the movement, symbolizing the future and the continuous evolution
Thank you, without you my connection with art would not be the same.
