This spring, I had the opportunity to speak with the journalists of the book “La Catalunya Emergida,” Jesús Jordi Pinatella and Òscar Palau Just, as well as their photographer Josep Maria Montaner Fontarnau, about my beloved village, Miralpeix, and everything it represents for me and the birth of my artistic project, Reluet.
They also interviewed my neighbors, gathering memories, anecdotes, and stories that we should never lose.
It is wonderful to see how small towns like ours are given a voice, and how we all contribute to preserving our historical memory.
A huge thank you to the team of “La Catalunya Emergida” for listening to us and making Miralpeix part of this great mosaic of stories that is our country.
I met them almost a year ago during the Aplec de Trago in Noguera, where they were presenting and signing the book. And this coming June, they will hold the exhibition at Palau Robert, where I have the pleasure of presenting the sculpture “The Phoenix.”
