The “Memoria Sota l’Aigua” project not only seeks to capture attention through film images, but is also committed to sharing its stories and reflections through local media outlets, such as Radio Sió.
On January 24, 2025, the team of the short film in which I participate as co-writer and main actress had the opportunity to participate in a Radio Sió program, where we were able to talk about the objectives of the project and its importance. We have shared our vision of rescuing and dignifying the experiences of communities that have experienced uprooting and oblivion, as well as the power of cinema to generate social awareness.
During the broadcast we delved into the central themes of the short film, highlighting how the waters that hid my town, Miralpeix, have also been the setting for so many personal stories that deserve to be told. Additionally, we encourage the community to contribute to our Verkami crowdfunding campaign, underscoring the importance of popular support in realizing this project.
Participating in Radio Sió has allowed us to connect with the audience, obtain feedback and foster vital dialogue on topics that are often ignored.
We are grateful for the opportunity to share our mission and hope that this type of collaboration will help echo “Underwater Memory” beyond the screens.
If you want to stay up to date on the production process of the short film and our upcoming media appearances, I invite you to write to me hola@reluet.com.
