On April 8, 2023, after 24 years, the neighbors of Mirapeix gathered to celebrate a very special reunion.

For hours, we shared anecdotes and relived memories, visualizing together the streets and the scents that connect us to our beloved village submerged under the waters of the dam.

I want to express my sincerest thanks to Ángel, the mayor of Tiurana, and Lluis from the town hall, for creating the documentary that recovers the memory of Mirapeix.

Their effort has been crucial in preserving our history and traditions.

This documentary premiered on August 16, 2025, coinciding with the feast of Sant Roc and the revival of the major festival of Mirapeix in 2024, after 30 years.

This celebration, enlivened by the same organist we had previously hired, Joan Carbonell, was a moment of great joy and tradition for everyone.

We hope this documentary will help keep our collective memory alive and continue to unite current and future generations of Mirapeix.
