On April 18, 2024 I had the pleasure of exhibiting my artistic project of resilient art in Castellserà and being part of this movement of Transformative Women of Lleida. We were accompanied by the General Secretary for Equality, Georgina Oliva, the Mayor of the Castellserà City Council, Marcel Pujol, the president of the Urgell Regional Council, Jose Marin, the Lleida Deputy for Equality, Sandra Marco, the Mayor of the Tàrrega City Council, Alba Pijuan.
Transformative gifts, it is more than a simple project. It is a movement with a base that is based on feminist values and positive change in rural communities. This transformative women project reflects and promotes gender equality and women’s rights.
It highlights the voices, empowerment, collaboration and transformation of women in rural communities.
This initiative represents another step towards gender equality and social justice, contributing to a cultural change and the creation of an inclusive world for all. It has the support of the Departments of Equality and Feminism and Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda.
Your Delegate of the Government of the Generalitat in Lleida, Montse Bergés says:
“It wants to give a decisive boost to the feminist transformation of the rural environment of the Lands of Lleida through the configuration of a shared agenda and joint action by rural women and the Government.”
The empowerment of women in the rural world as a strategic action for the development of the Lands of Lleida and the country is more than a challenge and a need: it is an action of justice.”
