I would like to share with you a very special meeting I had at the exhibition I held at the Arnau de Vilanova Hospital in Lleida.
This moment was a powerful reminder of human connection and the impact that art can have on our lives.
The charm of symbolism
During the time I was exhibiting my works in the hospital, Fernando Peña Medina became a frequent visitor. Something in the symbolism of my works resonated deeply with him, creating an emotional bond that neither he nor I could ignore. This connection reaffirmed the importance of art as a vehicle for healing and personal reflection.
One afternoon, while Fernando was going up to the room with his mother, he took a pencil and drew me. When I saw the portrait he had made, I was very moved. It was not a drawing of the adult Núria; he portrayed my inner child. A smiling girl, full of life and cheerful.
That portrait became a mirror for me. In a moment of inspiration, I wrote in big: “I have much to offer myself and the world. I am going to enjoy the Núria within me and I will never leave her alone again. We are here to live life, not to get stuck in a lake of tears.”
Tears, I remembered, are the reflection of the abundance of existing. With each emotion, my inner child and I decided to live each day with intensity. We will not let the days live us; we will take control of our experiences.
Again, thank you Fernando. Your smile, like that of all the people who have crossed my path, is my fuel to keep creating and sharing Reluet.
We know that we are a server of systems and machines, but who DECIDES who will be the president of our government and how we will govern is us, not our day to day.
I BELIEVE THAT SOMETHING WONDERFUL IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME TODAY
