The origin: Miralpeix, a submerged home
An international artist with a profound gaze and a resilient heart
RELUET’S STORY WAS NOT BORN IN A STUDIO IT WAS BORN UNDER WATER
Núria Companys Castro was born in 1981 in Miralpeix, a Catalan village that was buried by a reservoir when she was 13 years old. With it, her ancestral home Cal Teuler, her roots, her games, her first emotional universe were drowned.
That loss remained suspended in time… (23 years)
Until one day a door rescued from the depths of memory brought her back.

Rebirth from memory
In 2009, after losing her grandfather, Núria transformed an old door into her first work of art.
It was a asymbolic art: taking what had been destroyed and recreating it with love.
This is how RELUET was born, a name that is “Teuler” spelled backwards—the lost family home.
Since then, Núria has worked with doors, windows, chairs, and objects with soul, creating art that is not only contemplated but felt and experienced.

A courageous transition
For 16 years, Núria worked in the finance and human resources department of a multinational company, but her body spoke: exhaustion, illness, and finally, a third relapse during the San Juan festivities in 2022 after a night diving trip that pushed her to LIVE AUTHENTICALLY by understanding the why and the what for of her life purpose when she titled her first work.
That year, for the first time, she signed her works, which until then had been signed by her father Josep Maria under his pseudonym.
The act was symbolic: recognizing herself as an artist, a woman, and a resilient soul.
Today his purpose is clear
