The Importance of Art in Qatari Culture<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF) has <\/strong>been a transformative event for many artists. It is a space that celebrates cultural diversity. Participating in events like this reaffirms the importance of contemporary art and its ability to bring people together, break down barriers, and inspire change. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The experience of painting live<\/strong> in Qatar<\/strong> and connecting my art with people reminded me that the true power of art lies in its ability to resonate with the audience’s emotions. It was love at first sight. <\/span><\/p>\n

Each drawing I shared was an invitation to personal reflection and self-discovery.<\/span><\/p>\n

For this occasion, I decided to create a work in which I used resin to encode<\/strong> the name \u201cQatar\u201d<\/strong>\u2014 from the<\/strong> \u201cCryptologia\u201d collection\u2014and fuse it with my artistic and philosophical language about the power of rivers and their confluences, which I have been developing since 2009<\/strong>. This creation represents not only the place but also the essence of the emotional connection that art can foster among people. Each line I shared was an invitation to personal reflection and self-discovery. <\/span><\/p>\n

Journalist Silvia Garc\u00eda Dom\u00ednguez told me that it portrayed Qatar well\u2014a country with happy people who are always striving to grow and move forward.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I turned QATAR into <\/strong>a symbol that carries multiple meanings:<\/span><\/p>\n

Q<\/strong>: The sun<\/strong>, which represents energy and life<\/span><\/p>\n

A<\/strong>: the sun’s rays<\/strong>, symbolizing attention and focus<\/span><\/p>\n

T<\/strong>: Strength<\/strong>\u2014a reminder of the determination needed to thrive<\/span><\/p>\n

A<\/strong>: The smiles<\/strong> and happiness<\/strong> found in every experience<\/span><\/p>\n

A<\/strong>: Movement<\/strong>, symbolizing the future and continuous evolution<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you\u2014without you, my connection to art wouldn’t be the same.<\/span><\/p>\n
